In the last month I've started pronouncing Okay, formally [oʊkeɪ], as [ə'xeɪ:] or "Uh-chae"

I do this a few other times but I can't remember what words I was saying. My accent is warping into some kind of weird x-filled Welsh or Scouse accent. Help!
Lol I've been pronouncing 'yup' with a final glottal stop for like 4-5 years. Cockney much?

Yup has an unreleased obstruent at the end for me as well, it's not glottal though like the unreleased forms of my /t/ & /k/.

As for the others:

honaker [hɔ.ˈnɪ.kə]
oreɡon [ɔ.ʋɛ.ɡn̥]
oreɡano [ə.ʋe͡ɪ̯.ɡə.no͡ʊ̯]
The Artist Formerly Known as Caleone

My Conlangs (WIP):

Pasic - Proto-Northeastern Bay - Asséta - Àpzó

felafel

I've only heard American "felOfel, or the Spanish version. So I say: [fə.ˈlæ.fəɫ] or [fə.ˈlæ.fəʊ].
It was about time I changed this.

Oregon [ˈɔɹɪɡn̩]
oregano [ɔɹɪˈɡaːnoʷ]
falafel [fəˈlafl̩]

But I hardly ever say these American-flavoured words. ;)

Lith. sūris = cheese, Fr. souris = mouse... o_O

I think it's:
Oregon ['ɔɹɛg(ə)n/]
oregano [ɔɹɛ'gaːno(ʊ)]
falafel [fə'ɫaf(ə)ɫ]

...for me at least...

oregano is stressed on the third syllable in BrE, but the second in AmE, yes.

before we knew the 'correct' or 'normal' way of saying 'falafel', ie /fəˈlafəl/, in my family we used to say something like /ˈfalaˌfɛl/. i think my dad might still say it like that, and at one point i had to correct him because it started bothering me.

anyway i guess
[ˈoːɹʷəgɒn]
[ɒɹəˈga(ː)no(ʊ)]
[fəˈɫafu]

Donkey--LOT, CLOTH, or STRUT?

(CLOTH for me, but last night I noticed that Boston-raised Louis CK has the LOT vowel. One of my grade school teachers had STRUT and we mocked her for it.)

For me, donkey, lot and cloth are all [ɔ] (except cloth is [ɔ:] possibly with a schwa offglide); strut is between [ə] and [ɞ].

"Donkey, lot and cloth" have an [ɔ] sound, but "strut" is closer to [ɑ] or [ɐ], for me...

Isn't Boston LOT/CLOTH/THOUGHT merged?

CLOTH

speaking of odd pronunciations, one of the music teachers here stresses the second syllable in 'pianist'

Oh, well how about that. I guess I've never heard someone from a different area say that word before.

Well firstly, I've no idea who Jonathon Ross is.
And secondly, to take a crack at these wordses:

donkey [dʌŋ.ki͡ɪ̯]
lot [lɔʔ]
cloth [clɔəθ]
strut [stʃʋʌʔ]

I've actually been wondering why it's so common here to give transcriptions without stress marked. You can see tons of examples of that in the "What Does Your Conlang Resemble/Sound Like?" thread. I always consider it important to mark it, well, unless it's a language like French or Mandarin (though even then they should say so).

Is it because intro linguistics books usually don't mark it to make things simple(r) when presenting IPA?

Honaker (whatever the hell that is?!!)
[ˈhɔnɪkɐ]

Oregon: [ˈɔɹɪgən]

Oregano: [ˌɔɹɪˈgaːnɐʉ̯]

Felafel: [fəˈlæfəɫ]
(My mum says [fəˈlaːfəɫ]) which I think would sound affected if anyone young said it like that. An ocker accent would be [fəˈlæfu]

donkey [ˈdɔŋ.ki]

lot [lɔt]

cloth [klɔθ]

strut [stɹat]

pianist [ˈpiːənəst]

real: [ˈɹiːəɫ]
deal: [ˈdiːəɫ]
cruel: [kɹʊːɫ]
duel: [dʒʊːɫ] (merged with jewel)
steal: [ˈstiːəɫ]
peal: [ˈpiːəɫ]
stool: [stʊːɫ]
pool: [pʊːɫ]
stale: [ˈstæɪəɫ]
dale: [ˈdæɪəɫ]
stole: [stɔuɫ]
dole: [dɔuɫ]

The /l/ tends to be pronounced as in casual speech.
Glossing Abbreviations: COMP = comparative, C = complementiser, ACS / ICS = accessible / inaccessible, GDV = gerundive, SPEC / NSPC = specific / non-specific

How do you folks pronounce "hurry"?

Is it: [hɝɹi], [hʌɹi], [ha.ɹi], [hɑ.ɹi] or something different, for you?

Also, have you succumbed to the horrible "Hurry–Furry Merger" disease, on that topic...?
