Re: Polyglottal Telephone 14
I leave the board for one month..... And in that time the last PGT ends, the results are posted and discussed, someone suggests a new one, which is then organized and set into motion. All in one month's time. Bah. I clearly need to check in more often!

On the bright side, with this pace there's a good chance you can join another PGT soon enough.Peacekeeper wrote:I leave the board for one month..... Got it. I have already translated about a third of, though it is somewhat confusing.

What's the text about, this time around?
No, wait, don't answer that!
Looking forward to seeing the results!

It's about things. Und Dinge. Dinge and things, things und Dinge.Peacekeeper wrote:What's the text about, this time around?

You can't read that, right? Yes, it says that.

What do I do when the text contains words which do not exist?

I'd rather say it was about choses, truc-machins and Dinge. But to each their own interpretation, I guess.Lyhoko Leaci wrote:It's about things. Und Dinge. Dinge and things, things und Dinge.

I'd say that's against the spirit of the PGT - in the oral telephone game you also don't get to ask the one who whispered in your ear for clarification.Astraios wrote:PM me because it's probably a typo?
@ Mr. Bernie Simply guess what could have been meant.
If you're unable to sleep until you know whether you guessed correctly and cannot bear to wait until the results are published, you can PM your predecessor after you've sent your translation on to the next participant. That's what I did concerning the things I didn't understan in Jetboy's translation.
That at least is my opinion - what does everybody else think?
Re: Polyglottal Telephone 14
Sent. That was fun

You have my agreement as well. Not that I am in the game. This time.

Sorry for the slight slow down of Team B's stellar progress, I hope to get this done in the next two days, it's longer than I expected!

Re: Polyglottal Telephone 14
I think we should add a slogan to the polyglottal telephones: if something doesn't seem to make sense, most likely it absolutely makes no sense.
