Do it... if you really want to live in russia, then perhaps it'd be better if you could find a new job, but like, you're pretty smart - i think you'll learn it quickly. Also I think becoming functionally illiterate as an adult is actually a useful experience.
(Also, have you only been there for a month? Are you sure it's not just teething troubles? You might have just had to buy a lot of shit in the first month that you won't have to again)
an die is preferable, as the construction an +acc can indicate both the recipient and the address of a letter, while the dative only indicates the recipient, and that doesn't really fit, as linguoboy also noted. Another option is wohin, but that's a bit colloquial.Imralu wrote:1. Or maybe an diejal wrote:Ich habe endlich mal Glück gehabt. That's okay. I'd use Stornierung in the context of a travel booking, and the the simple past instead of the perfect would also work for me.2. Not sure how idiomatic this is. Hwhatting may be able to advise.
I'd use in Winterurlaub fahren. in Urlaub gehen normally isn't used with a destination - it is used to describe or explain someone's absence (Ich gehe nächste Woche in Urlaub und kann deshalb nicht zu der Besprechung kommen).4. Auf Urlaub gehen is apparently old fashioned and still used in Austria and, I'd assume other southern areas ... so, maybe appropriate considering your destination, but I've never heard it: generally in (den) Urlaub gehen/fahren

It's not teething trouble. I ran the numbers: it wasn't possible to pay for September's rent, October's rent, and for the work visa (just the fees, in Tallinn) without dipping into savings or borrowing against a future paycheck. (And my company arranged my apartment!)
Теперь единственная проблема устраивания визы. Возможно получить визу в России для Китая, а сложно.
Currently the only real problem is organizing the visa. It's possible to get a Chinese visa in Russia, but it is a bit complicated.

Xian seems nice. I have a friend who went there. I think she liked it. Xiamen (Amoy?) is also famous though, yeah. But if you can, please try to find somewhere with little pollution. It's really quite bad there.
