OK, so. Shān it is, I guess! Shāi doesn't seem to have surnames or many characters in general, which is too bad 'cuz I like the sound of it. And Shān is still a kind of obscure surname, but. Less so than Jiē, and more phonetically accurate! So. Also, it means mountain, which my last name is named after, so that's cool.
Anyway, thanks so much. I'll keep you updated on my given name (assuming anyone cares
), which may just be one character due to laziness.
