Nein, das muss im Genitiv stehen. "Ich kann ein Bisschen vom Koreanischen.
No, that should be in the genitive. "I can speak a little of Korean."

Esta noche mi familia comió pizza y vio [El Reino Secreto (LatAm)/Epic: El Mundo Secreto (Esp)]. No fue magnifica, pero no fue mal.
Tonight my family ate pizza and saw Epic. It wasn't magnificent, but it wasn't bad.

The animation was pretty good. I thought the plot was going to be environmental "save the trees"-type stuff, but it avoided that.

In spite of all that, it didn't stand out.

(Plot is a funny word. Plot plot plot.

Also yay for Firefox keeping my post even though it crashed!)

Not in German it shouldn't, but it should in Gaelic. I thought it was clear from the context (it was his Gaelic I originally posted to correct, not his German) that the portion in quotes was a literal translation of the Gaelic intended as a mnemonic, but I keep forgetting how you lurk in this thread ready at any moment to pounce on a perceived error in my German.

Ecco.
This. I spent the whole break studying Japanese, even though I study Persian in college. I have nearly forty pages of interlinear translations of Japanese texts, but I haven't done anything to improve my understanding of Persian. I feel a little guilty for having abandoned it, considering that the professor is letting me come to class just two days a week so that I can do another course that meets at the same time.

Ammâ fekr mikonam ke zabâne fârsi kami kaselkonandé ast. Az harf zadaneš xošam miâyad, čun âvâzeš nesbatan xâreji ast, vali gerâmereš čize češmgiri nist.
Ammâ fek mikonam zabune fârsi kami kaselkonandé. Az harf zadaneš xošam miâd, čun âvâzeš nesbatan xârejiye, vali gerâmereš čize češmgiri nis.
However I think Persian is a little boring. I like speaking it, because its sound is rather exotic, but its grammar is nothing splashy.

Ooooh, OK! I was a bit confused about that. I'm sorry if I'm a bit overly pedantic in this thread and thus blind to cases like this :(

Who knows, they never have trouble finding reasons to get angry. The key to dealing with them is just to ignore them and continue on as usual. The silver lining to all this is that they've all gotten fat over the break. Markedly. Meanwhile, I lost 9 pounds, which made me look better. Maybe I'm being cruel with this small moment of schadenfreude, but they deserve their misfortunes.

It's for entry to university. She doesn't have the right level of English at all but we couldn't let her fail again this year too.

O que é que ela quer estudar? E de onde é?
What does she want to study? And where is she from?

Also, you're practising Brazilian or Portugal Portuguese? Just to know.

De Brasil, porque conheço mais canções brasileiras.
Brazilian, because I know more Brazilian songs. :p

Ela é do Israel e quer a linguística.
She's from Israel and she wants linguistics. That's why she has to improve her English already. xD

*1) Better use the infinitive here, as in English:
*2) экзамен по английскому would be more idiomatic.

I still have a week of holiday, that's why. After this week I'll be getting up at seven every day as well.
