Als ich auf Urlaub in Frankreich war, habe ich endlich eine französische Version von "Der Hobbit" gekauft. Ich habe jetzt eine spanische, italienische, französische, dänische, englische und niederländische Version. Aber noch immer keine deutsche .
When I was in France on holiday, I finally bought a French version of "The Hobbit". I currently have a Spanish, French, Danish, English and Dutch version. But still no German one .

Tu sais, c'était le "nur" exactement qui m'a fait penser que ce serait une langue auxiliaire, avec des mots pris au hasard des langues naturelles.

You know, it was exactly the "nur" that made me think this was an auxlang, with words randomly taken from natlangs.

*1) If you don't want to use the English words, I'd use Nachrichten or Benachrichtigungen, as you're not talking about software updates, but news updates / messages about new posts etc.

The above fixes the actual grammar errors, but still sounds a bit off. I would say something like "Weet je*, het was precies het "nur" dat me deed vermoeden [or "waarom ik vermoedde"] dat dit een auxlang** was, met willekeurig uit natuurlijk talen gekozen woorden."
*I'm not sure this entirely covers the "you know" in this case, but it'll have to do.
**"hulptaal" sounds like it's a language that's used for aiding something. "Hulp-" can mean "auxilliary", "additional" and "aiding", but the latter is more prevalent, like in "hulphond" or "hulpmotor" (the latter being understood as the only engine, that's helping someone e.g. on a bike, rather than the auxiliary engine next to the primary one, which could also be the meaning).
