Вчера вечером для Рош Ха-Шана я приготовила персидскую еду, потому что мне хотелось что-то кисло-сладкое, но некитайское. Итак, накрывались на стол гранатовый салат с морковями, помидорами, сладкими перцами; сливовый суп со шпинатом, рисом, чечевицами; фисинджа̄н (куриные грудки, тушенные в гранатовом сиропе, сгущаемом молотыми грецкими орехами) над жареными картошками с чесночным маслом. Сладким блюдом были медовый пряник, торт яблочно-ореховый, а тоже печенья с арахисовым маслом и шоколадными крошками из минувших выходных. Были, очевидно, необходимые яблоки, окунаемые в мёд, а тоже гранаты — в финиковую пасту. Напитками было гранатовое вино, которое нам давно дали подарком, но очень вкусно оно не было (очень красно, сухо, со вкусом старости); открылась вместе него бутылка розового. В общем, было слишком много гранатов, но всё оказалось хорошо (и очень розово).

For Rosh HaShana yesterday evening I made Persian food, because I wanted something sweet and sour but not Chinese. So the table was laid with pomegranate salad with carrots, tomatoes, and bell peppers; plum stew with spinach, rice, and lentils; and fisinjān (chicken breasts stewed in pomegranate molasses thickened with crushed walnuts) over roast potatoes in garlic butter. For dessert there was a honey cake and an apple and walnut cake, and also peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies from last weekend. Obviously there were the requisite apples dipped in honey, and pomegranates in date paste as well. For drinks there was a pomegranate wine that we’d received as a gift a long time ago, but it wasn’t very nice (very red, dry, and old-tasting), so we opened a bottle of rosé instead. All in all, there were too many pomegranates, but it all came out well (and very pink).

*1) морковь is a collective noun and it's idiomatic to use it in sitiations like this, in the singular. If you absolutely want to use a plural noun, you use морковками.
*2) Again in this case, it's more idiomatic to use the generic singular when describing dishes. This is also true for the rest of your description, but I'm too lazy to insert the singular forms everywhere.
*3) Again a collective noun. For the plural, печеньки is much more usual than печенья.

Była dobra restauracja perska w Bonnie, ale kiedy tam chodiliśmy ostatni raz, uwidzieliśmy, że zamknęła się i że teraz na jej miejscu się nachodzi bistro azjatyckie.
Il y avait un bon restaurant persan à Bonn, mais quand nous sommes allés là la dernière fois, nous avons vu qu'il avait eu fermé et que maintenant dans son lieu il y a une restauration rapide asiatique.
Er was een goed Perzisch restaurant in Bonn, maar toen we het laatste keer daarhen gegaan zijn, hebben we gezien dat het dicht gemaakt was en dat op zijn plaats nu een Aziatische snackbar is.
