Moi, j'ai seulement une version Allemande.

No, this is Angloromani, but I understand why you might think so.

Nur is kek a lav in Rumnis, pal.
Nur isn't a word in Angloromani, man.
Also:
मेरे पास
mere pās
'with me'
Also I doubt anyone says अंग्रेज़ी अनूदित पुस्तक apart from maybe some very snobbish Brahmins, the kind who get super-upset about casteism being challenged. Most people would probably just say अंग्रेज़ी version or अंग्रेजी वर्जन aṅgrejī varjan or even just "English version."

Mandi kellipen'd the same shom lavs avrey Lavveen Rumnis.
I did the same with words from Welsh Romani.

Wiesz, to było dokładnie "nur" co skłoniło mnie do myśli, żeby to było językiem pomocniczym, ze słowami wziętymi przypadkowo z języków naturalnych.Znex wrote:I know, but I couldn't find the word for "only" in Angloromani, so I took a word from Sinte Romani.
Tu sais, c'était le "nur" exactement qui m'a fait penser que ce serait une langue auxiliaire, avec des mots pris au hasard des langues naturelles.
Weet je, het was precies het "nur" dat me heeft gelaten denken dat dit een hulptaal was, met toevallig uit natuurlijken talen genomen woorden.
You know, it was exactly the "nur" that made me think this was an auxlang, with words randomly taken from natlangs.
*1) If you don't want to use the English words, I'd use Nachrichten or Benachrichtigungen, as you're not talking about software updates, but news updates / messages about new posts etc.jal wrote:Verdammt, seit gestern erhalte ich keine Updates*1) mehr vom ZBB...

Danke für die Korrigierungen!
Thanks for the corrections!
*I'm not sure this entirely covers the "you know" in this case, but it'll have to do.
**"hulptaal" sounds like it's a language that's used for aiding something. "Hulp-" can mean "auxilliary", "additional" and "aiding", but the latter is more prevalent, like in "hulphond" or "hulpmotor" (the latter being understood as the only engine, that's helping someone e.g. on a bike, rather than the auxiliary engine next to the primary one, which could also be the meaning).

Thanks for the corrections!
The above fixes the actual grammar errors, but still sounds a bit off. I would say something like "Weet je*, het was precies het "nur" dat me deed vermoeden [or "waarom ik vermoedde"] dat dit een auxlang** was, met willekeurig uit natuurlijk talen gekozen woorden."hwhatting wrote:Weet je, het was precies het "nur" dat me heeftgelaten denken dat dit een hulptaal was, met toevallig uit natuurlijkentalen genomen woorden.

Of course, Dutch must be exactly the same as German here...

I took hulptaal from the Dutch wikipedia article on conlangs, so it seems to be an established term?jal wrote:**"hulptaal" sounds like it's a language that's used for aiding something. Regel 1: Vertraue niemals auf Wikipedia.hwhatting wrote:I took hulptaal from the Dutch wikipedia article on conlangs, so it seems to be an established term?
Regel 2: Siehe Regel 1
Rule 1: Never trust Wikipedia.
Rule 2: See Rule 1.
Of course, when talking about such obscure things like auxlangs, is there an "established term" at all in a language? Who decides?
EDIT: And of course "kunsttaal" itself is problematic, as it can also be read as "artlang".

Wäre es nicht sinnvoller, ein Wort dafür aus dem Englischen zu entlehnen?Znex wrote:I know, but I couldn't find the word for "only" in Angloromani, so I took a word from Sinte Romani.
Wouldn't it make more sense to borrow a word for this from English?
Die Sprache heiss doch "Angloromani", oder?
After all, the language is called "Angloromani", innit?
Re: Help your fluency in a nifty way
Genau, Angloromani funktioniert nicht wirklich, wie Znex und ich es hier reden. Es ist eigentlich nur Englisch mit ein paar Wörtern auf Romani.
Exactly, Angloromani doesn't really work the way Znex and I are speaking it here. It's actually just English with a few words in Romani.
