Finnish Possessive Suffixes

Just a quick question about Finnish possessive suffixes, specifically -mme, -nne and -nsa and consonant gradation. AIUI consonant gradation is generally held to be the result of lenition in (historically) closed syllables* leading to forms such as lampi~lammen, jalka~jalan, etc. However, I've not been able to find many examples of the use of possessive suffixes so I haven't been able to find out whether consonant gradation occurs when these are attached to the stem of the noun or to a given case suffix. So I guess to sum up my question would it be (for "puku"):

1) puku-pukuni-puvumme, puvun-pukuni-puvumme, puvulta-puvultani-puvullamme, or...
2) puku-pukuni-pukumme, puvun-pukuni-puvumme, puvulta-puvultani-puvultamme

(I've assumed that when -ni deletes the genitive -n and causes the final syllable of the stem to open again that the strong grade is used rather than the weak grade but like I said, don't have much experience with possessive suffixes)

...or something else. Or even simpler (maybe), do the suffixes -mme, -tte and -nsa cause consonant gradation to occur and, if so, when?

*I read one idea that it could actually have been a process of fortition in open syllables since it attempts a different idea to explain it in Sami but blah.

(sorry if the question was a bit disjointed :) )

Someone else can give you good explanation, but these are correct forms of overstruck word:
1) pukumme, pukumme
2)pukumme.

But, as I said, someone else can give explanation, because I`m not good at explaining things :( .

Yeah, after a bit more searching (ironically I was searching in too specific a way) it does seem to be that it's strong_grade+possessive (even after case suffixes) so if that's correct any admins are free to lock the thread or whatever :)
