One poem read 68 ways, including examples from all the major groups, as well as all three Sino-Xenic systems and a bunch of historical reconstructions.

Quality varies because this is a collaborative creation.

The poem itself dates from the Song Dynasty.

Is 七夕 the Chinese version of the Tanabata festival?

That's where the word comes from. Or at least, the spelling. Tanabata is actually a different formation entirely: 棚旗, if I remember correctly.

Palatalised 期 and 金 are a lot more common than I realised. At least in the north. And the different Mandarin dialects sound rather funny... probably because the tones just sound wrong. What I'm sure of, though, is that the Japanese is weird, verging on wrong. There are points where the 入声 syllables are overemphasised.

I did notice some devoicing in the Xuanzhou Wu dialect.

It felt entirely unnatural to me. Everything was overly drawn out.
