Lexicon technology e.g. Toolbox

I am making a dictionary and I got recommended Shoebox as an application for making it in. On trying to find Shoebox, I found an updated application, Toolbox. I managed to find way around the application for the most part. What I find a problem with still is exporting the files. When it exports in rtf, it leaves a short mess of numbers and letters. And I can't get the other exporting formats to work at all. If any of yous know about this application, can they help me please? Also, do yous know of other such applications?
