Heh, I have the same thing with some English sounds, like /æ/ vs. /ɛ/, and I occasionally stumble over /s/ vs. /z/ since that distinction is often not deduceable from spelling. I also occasionally hypercorrect /sp/ to /spʰ/ etc. But then again, I'm no native speaker.Gulliver wrote:I'm not entirely convinced I actually hear the difference between /f/ and /þ/, I just know where they should go.
