What exactly is Logophoricity?

I haven't been able to find a clear explanation, the wikipedia page is confusing!

It is marking in quoted speech that someone mentioned therein is the person speaking, whether by using a special logophoric pronoun, or a special marker on the verb indicating that an argument is logophoric, or so on. There less obvious logophoricity as well, such as reflexive pronouns that cross clause boundaries and which are used to refer to the speaker in such contexts.
