Formosan orthography

Post by Raholeun »

Hi all,

In several grammars of Formosan aboriginal languages, a common orthography is employed. This standardized orthography was instated in 2005 by the Taiwanese Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Council of Indigineous Peoples (CIP). Unfortunately, I can not for the life of me find a document describing it in English. As many of the grammars use slights adaptations of the formal orthography, and the changes often remain implicit, I have trouble figuring it out myself.

Would anybody know if there exists an English version of the document explaining the standardized orthography? If so, where could I find it?

ìtsanso, God In The Mountain, may our names inspire the deepest feelings of fear in urkos and all his ilk, for we have saved another man from his lies! I welcome back to the feast hall kal, who will never gamble again! May the eleven gods bless him!
