I've never been at a board meeting of a big German corporation, but on a working level in any bigger company that has any international presence, it's German until a foreigner enters the conversation; then it immediately changes to English. Except if the foreigner is a fluent speaker of German and doesn't object to the conversation being in German. Side discussions may be in German, especially among people present who are not so comfortable with English.

I've been working for a German company with an office in Poland for three days now.

Today, we've met with the people from the German branch. We've been using exclusively English when talking to them.
The conlanger formerly known as “the conlanger formerly known as Pole, the”.

If we don't study the mistakes of the future we're doomed to repeat them for the first time.
