You need to make a new account. I'll PM the code.

Yeesh, not only is this board as bad as ever, but it's eating posts.

Anyway, what I was going to say was:

1) Things here are backed up. But only as of July 4, and I'm not going to back it up again. Which only reinforces 2):

2) So post over at the new board.

The main reason I'm leaving posting enabled here is that you can easily quote a post, copy the text, and start a topic with it over on the new board.

I can't make it to the registration page on the new forum. I'm only getting:

mayb you cant put commas in usernames anymore and it just doesnt give a helpful explaination of what the probl was? im just guessing ... at least one new member did register today, so it cant be broken completely ... however, if there's trouble it may explain why posting is alreayd slowing down at the new board compared to the first week.

No, it doesn't even allow me to load the registration form. Or the login page. I get the same error when I put in the credentials provided to me by Zompist. Or any other, for that matter. There's clearly something broken with the new forum that makes me unable to use it.

Edit:

It still hasn't been fixed.

Also, it looks like the server rejects all the POST requests from my side (including when I try to log in or when I click the “accept” button on the registration page). GETs seem fine.

Okay, I investigated the issue and it looks like mod_security doesn't like the “X11” part of my browser UA string and as soon as I manually override it, it starts working.

So, yeah, I guess I can work around it, but there's still something wrong with the forum's configuration which might prevent other users from using it.

If you fail horribly, I'm pretty good at migrating things between different data formats if that's what the issue is.

Ugh, oh well, whatever I suppose... seriously though :/

Also, why's my post count down to 592 from 7000 or whatever it was? It was mostly shitposting in the olden days and I don't care about post count but does that mean lots and lots of posts here have been wiped out for some reason?
