You have one of those faces that seems like it would look slightly better with a full beard. Just sayin'.

Right. Everyone knows photos taken from above make you look old.
Right. Thing was, though, I thought that Rad would've been about your age or closer to it, seeing as how large age differences in relationships aren't that common anymore. Meh, I dunno.

To the point of apparently being perceived as reputation-damaging.

26 and 35 is not so terrible an age difference. It was much worse when we met, at which time we were 18 and 27.

mine grows way too bloody fast which is annoying cause i've never had any interest in growing it out ... I tried once or twice but I never make it past the Itchy Phase before I give up

I've had a beard for over 6 months before and I can state that the Itchy Phase never actually ended, just suspended sometimes.

To me 26/35 somehow seems more freakish than 18/27. :? I've once dated someone who was 18 when I was 26.

Really? I find the older you get the less different you are from people 10 years older than you. Like when you're 18 you're still practically a child, eg you're perhaps not as independent and things like that compared to people in their twenties or thirties, who are probably both functioning adults. Like when you're 18 you've still got emotional development to go through and you're probably looking for different things to someone in their late twenties (in general).

I say that, I'm 25 now and I've been kinda seeing someone who's 34 and I think there are big differences in what we want out of a relationship, still.

Dude, I'd think it a LOT before boning an 18 year old girl... then again, there are 18 year olds and there are 18 year olds.
still, I'd feel weird as fuck about it.

That's normal compared to my friend who's 21 and whose partner is 54. Twice his age and then some! And the most ironic part is the 21 year old supports the 54 years old. I mean, if you're going to date someone twice your age, at least find a sugar daddy.

Yeah but you're straight. You don't have normal sexual relations.

Also Qwynegold said 'dated', not 'boned'. Maybe they didn't even have sex.

Mayhaps the symmetry of homosexual relationships doth reduce the weirdness of extreme age difference? worked for the greeks ^_
Possibly the thing is the cultural myth of the weakness of females; an 18 year old dude having a relationship with a 26 year old girl <a female friend of mine is in that situation> isn't as creepy. PATRIARCHY FOR THE WIN

Also, Vik, never mind that: I'm 26 and I could bone a 60 year old woman and it would be, i think, less weird than picking up my lover from highschool.

That seems to be somewhat personal. I happen to have been resoundly rejected on the grounds that relationships in which the male is younger are the devil's work (or something).

True, we do have that show Cougartown and the world MILF is quite popular.

Cougartown must not air in Switzerland, Hallow. :P

The funny thing is, I think it would have been more acceptable in the past for the woman to be younger (and maybe it still is, like Hugh Heffner and such).

XD dayum!

They're still sort of the norm; however, age difference isn't the same as biographical stage difference: me and a 37 year old are both economically self-sufficient adults; me and a 18 year old aren't.

Yeah, hence the :? smiley. It really should be the other way around. Idk, I guess it's that I'm looking it from my perspective, and 35 is oooold. D:

Practically a child no... 18 year olds are 18 year olds... surely they're not adults, for the most part [some are for sure], but children... nah, there are significant differences regarding psychological development and so on.
