I forgot to mention that I have been trying a handwritten version and that seems to be developing similarly to the image you displayed.
Of course you do.Kereb wrote:i see what you did there

These are glyphs that are formed using the consonant and vowel symbols from the syllabary but do not occur because of phonotactics.masako wrote:phonotactically disallowed

I already have a "left" and a "right" so I used "weird" and "proper". Good suggestions, btw.Sevly wrote:1:53 - left arm; left handed > odd; weird

I get the feeling that sometimes masako deletes posts and reposts the same thing, perhaps to encourage replies by making it appear as though there is a new post in the thread. I may be wrong, but I feel like I have experienced this several times.Sevly wrote:Wait, what just happened? I swear that the date on that last post just changed. Is the date updated when you ninja edit, really? Didn't know you could bump like that.
Anyways, I'll be taking a look at the new chart later today.
I look forward to your suggestions/ideas.Sevly wrote:Anyways, I'll be taking a look at the new chart later today.
Y'know...I kinda was thinking about that glyph for hawk...but I also had another glyph in mind that I can't seem to remember, so this one it is. Thanks.Bristel wrote:4:31 hawk :) (or one that looks better for that)
Clever, clever. Now then:clawgrip wrote:I get the feeling that sometimes masako deletes posts and reposts the same thing
Oh, I misread. Anyhow, I don't understand the point of having glyphs for words that are not in the language.masako wrote:Qwynegold wrote:phonologically disallowedThese are glyphs that are formed using the consonant and vowel symbols from the syllabary but do not occur because of phonotactics.masako wrote:phonotactically disallowed
Very nice suggestions. All of them (or some slight variation) were added. Thank you.Sevly wrote:2:01 - support; foundation

Good. I really like your choice for "intercourse", very nice.Qwynegold wrote:4:27 shit (V.)

You really are misunderstanding. These are not "glyphs for words that are not in the language"...they're glyphs for syllables that are not phonotactically allowed. Think of Hangul for Korean...there are more than 11K syllables possible, and while they are pronounceable, they simply are not found used in the language. i.e. "꿶 흾 떇" and more. So, I decided to use them to mean other things...to form logographs instead of syllables.Qwynegold wrote:Anyhow, I don't understand the point of having glyphs for words that are not in the language.
Well, I wouldn't say it's too similar. That logo is quite angular whereas the Tloko glyphs are fairly rounded. Besides, as many possible glyphs as there are, they're bound to resemble various logos and emblems at some frequency.Chuma wrote:The "kaye" glyph is awfully popular around here.
Although I imagine that a modern sans serif web font for Tloko would be much more angular, in the style of East Asain Gothic typefaces, and so kaye might end up looking very much like the Länsförsäkringar logo. So the question is, what exactly is "County Insurance" surrounding?마사고 wrote:Well, I wouldn't say it's too similar.
