Hmmm, egzcellent... XD

But yeah, basically what I did is to increase the size of the image a 2000% aprox. So from 76 pixels it increased to 1520, more or less.

But it's impossible to increase a 2000% the whole map (at least with the program I use, Paint.NET), so it would be advisable to do it in sections (country by country).

Indeed, that would make the entire map 20000 pixels wide.

For the sake of consistency, what font are you using? Century Gothic Bold? And are your rivers the same colour as the lake?, Finally, what kind of pattern are you using for the cities?

I was going to make one for Nyo, but if you're doing Zibban, I should wait so we don't end up with massive cliffs on the border... I'll work on the FTB and Balla, instead.

When I started the map of Zibban I did a basic geographic sketch for South Centerica, so the nation's orography would make sense beyond its borders.

Feel free to use it for your map(s), if you want.

The plateau seems too high and monotonous to me.

I kind of agree, but then Xinjiang provides real-world precedent for such a large, flat plateau. If you did change it, it could be lowered into a kind of valley, like Hungary, or in Central Alaska north of Fairbanks. Or you could split it up, so there is a kind of sudden step down, like at the Thai-Cambodia border. What do you think?

The general geography of South Centerica was inspired by this map. The central plateau is, more or less, like Tibet, so it's not supposed to be totally flat. That geography allows valleys and lakes, but species diversity is, obviously, more reduced than in lower areas. Vegetation is basically alpine tundra, although in our map the plateau is closer to the equator, and that would have consequences.

Since Zibban's map has some unfinished rivers (that I saw after posting the link here) I'll finish the map today, drawing some alpine lakes in that plateau and some valleys (colored brown) in the NW area.

Zibban completely finished. Original size (2680x1620 px)

I added the northwestern valleys and depressions; also Cebba island, on the southwest coast. We also have two new colors: green below-sea (RGB 0 127 70) and purple salt-lake (RGB 183 91 131).

I can't find the original size image of Zibban, it's just the 1024x618 version. Maybe only the uploader can see the original version?

Here's the basic map for Balla, full size version because the country's small enough for everything to fit. I haven't added any cities yet, and there's still a ways to go for FTB's terrain. (though some is visible here.)

No, anyone can download the original version. Just click the link above and once you are in the Photobucket page, click on "download" (to the right of the screen).

I can do it when I'm not logged in and it works.

Nice map, but it sure looks hard to build a dome over that terrain! Is there a capital city?

You can also access the full-sized image if you click on the magnifying glass in the bottom right, and then click it again.

Maybe we should start posting our map updates in the main thread?

Yes, there's a capital city, I just haven't added it yet. I'll put in cities after I finish the terrain and rivers. And posting the maps in the main thread sounds like a good idea, that way everything's in one spot.

Here's my creativity for the day. Pretty simple and unimpressive design, except that I made it with pencil-and-paper using only a bookmark and a dollar bill as improvised straightedges, and no ruler or compass or anything; which wasn't easy, so I feel good about myself.

Yep, it's pretty damn good for having been drawn only with the aid of a bookmark and a dollar bill.

Trying to make sensible simplifications to my conscript's characters and some diacritics so as to be more suitable for handwriting. Inspiration: http://www.omniglot.com/writing/ahom.htm

Preliminary sound changes for Gnoamish. Just looking at the consonants so far. I'm imagining something Cockneyesque. Points for whoever gets the moozikul kunekshun (ha ha ha, hi hi hi).

It doesn't look fetching, it looks like slightly wack eye-dialect for Southern US English.

I've been working on a Khotanese font (since I don't think such a thing exists at all) for quite some time now. After a couple old versions, my current one is starting to get pretty far along. I can actually start typing out whole texts.

sample

I also eventually want to make a nice-looking Tocharian font like this one (Khotanese script is fairly closely related to Tocharian) since I'm pretty sure there's no such thing either.
