Re: Guess the Language, anyone?
I think it's Tungusic - is it Nanai?
I did have a bizarrely similar (to the original poster's) accident about four years ago, in which I slipped over a cookie and somehow twisted my ankle so far that it broke

Re: Guess the Language, anyone?
Nesescosac got it -- Nanai! You're up!
(Since I didn't check in in time to spot Nivkh, I thought it would be nice to bring one of its neighbors to the party...)

Re: Guess the Language, anyone?
I play with an added rule when I host: no questions on language family will be answered until 24 hours have passed.

He might not have specified but I expect he won't answer questions relating to continents either. Moxo?Nannalu wrote:Is it Native American? South American?

One at a time, please - in future I'll answer only your last question.
As it happens, it's not any of those.

Re: Guess the Language, anyone?
Nope! I'm getting bored of hosting so I'll say that the language is spoken in Argentina.

Re: Guess the Language, anyone?
Could it be Mapundugun?
I was tempted to suggest that earlier, since the text reminded me of the little bit I've read about it. But then I really haven't read about other S.A. languages, and what are the odds it would happen to be that one? But, if it's from Argentina... I'll take the shot.

Re: Guess the Language, anyone?
No. It is in Africa, and the Tildes under the vowels are a common thing in the country it came from.
