Well, let’s see. If one assumes their IPA values, <g> and <z> stand out as the only voiced stop and fricative respectively. So maybe they're /ŋ/ and /t͡s/, as Yaali Annar suggested. Also, the sample and the conlang's name suggest that <y> is /j/. At first I would also think that a double vowel indicates a long vowel, but I find it suspicious that the only doubled vowel in the sample is <uu>, which appears five times in such a short sample. Could <uu> be a digraph? Could it indicate /ɯ/? In this case, <eu> could also be a digraph with the value of /ə/ or /ɤ/ (I wouldn’t use <eu> for /o/ is <o> is available. Well, I wouldn’t use a digraph for /ə/ or /ɤ/ if <o> is available).

Re: Reverse Romanization Challenge Thread
Yeah, the sample isn't exactly representative, but I don't actually have that many samples saved. I hadn't noticed before that uu was more common than ii, but both are possible. I mean, this doesn't even contain all the consonants – no "f".Benturi wrote:finlay wrote:i might as well submit mine:

Here's another one; the only problem is it's an old version of the language:
Zekepu nupele tenuyelyanutuu fuituifiisu tenuzufufuite.
(By which I mean in the newer version I stopped using the nominative and accusative suffixes -pu and -su)

If you want people to actually play your game, you have to stop with the diacritic spam. It's not necessarily a bad thing to have a lot of diacritics, but for every post? Try something which can be interpreted broadly. E.g.

No example was provided so I took some liberties:
Roots, with basic forms like VCVCV, are merged to form phrases?, and stress is compounded. Vowels are unstressed, stressed (overdot), overstressed (underdot), according to some hierarchy. For reasons, i and u are never unstressed. E and o took their unstressed sounds or something.
Consonants also change when syllables are merged and clusters form; rather than being absorbed, the 'lesser' consonants soften. But these softer forms are not only allophones, soooo they get their own big boy orthographic representations.

EDIT: Oops I think I made this violate a linguistic universal by having more phonemic vowels than consonants. Oh well - here's a sample I generated:
<jizo zvbubi gabo bego jidv jujoje bvjejo zoza jugudv di buzuzaji>
[t͜ʃizo r̥ə̃bubi kabo pego t͜ʃud͜ʒod͜ʒe m̥ə̃d͜ʒed͜ʒo soza t͜ʃugunə̃ ti puzuzad͜ʒi]
Next:

EDIT 2: Here is a sample text for the next person to use:
Pattakk yoj ehha allappa xoh, mala isjutufye ki hhans tti.

Syllables are C(R)V(C) (where R is any approximant /ɹ l j ɰ/)
Randomly generated sample:

...I think the phonotactics need some work, it's a bit ugly.
EDIT: Didn't see the sample that was provided! Here we go:
Pattakk yoj ehha allappa xoh, mala isjutufye ki hhans tti.
[pa.ðaɣ ɰɯj y.ha a.ɹa.va xɯʔ, ma.la is.ju.tof.ɰy ki hans ði]
[ɰɯj] looks fun!

I generally forget to say, so if it's relevant and I don't mention it--I'm from Southern Michigan and speak Inland North American English. Yes, I have the Northern Cities Vowel Shift; no, I don't have the cot-caught merger; and it is called pop.
