I think that the main similarity between Latin and Finnish is with regard to their sound.

That may very well be right. But I don't think that. I don't know what Classical Latin sounded like.

We need more Creoles and mixed languages!

(Kopfberger German is a mixed language of High German and Jurchen-Manchu, its content words are from High German dialects while its grammar and functional words are from Jurchen-Manchu)
See here for a short introduction of some of my conlangs: http://cals.conlang.org/people/472

I think he means that before and after the ellipsis (…) there should be spaces. Spaces before and after the ellipsis should only be omitted when it is followed by another punctuation mark.
My version of the SCA²

About my conlangs: No. 1 is my proto-language, and No. 4, my main conlang, is one of its descendants. I’m currently revising 4, calling it 4a.

Typically in English I am used to there being a space after an ellipsis but not before it.

I said a space not two spaces. You're used to it but didn't write it (the one following).
