Seed 1235426178625: A consonant inventory of /n t d k g r ɾ j/.
I'm guessing the seeds give different results between versions. I ran this seed using the current version of the command-line gleb and got something else, noteworthy for the fact that /h/ became a voiceless uvular trill word-initially.vo1dwalk3r wrote:Seed 1939907510 (n the online version at least):
Fairly small but boring consonant inventory with 11 consonants, but an insane, dare I say stupid, vowel system:
i u a ã ɟ̩ g̩
Yes, those are syllabic voiced stops.
Some example words:
/ajijuj/ [ɛjijij]
/jlikwaw/ [jlikʷwaw]
/jilg̩ga/ [jilg̩ga]
/jg̩jij/ [jg̩jij]
And my personal favorite: /jɟ̩jji/ [jɟ̩jji].
Only 4 words lacked /j/.

No, but the Papuan language Yelî Dnye contrasts labial-velar and two distinct labial-alveolar points of articulation.UberBen wrote:I wonder- I know about bilabial-velars, but is there any language (natlang or conlang) with bilabial-palatals or bilabial-uvulars you know of?

Re: The glebst of Gleb
Why is Gleb so unusually biased towards extreme phonologies like these? I wonder if it's because there's not enough weighting against dense, ludicrously complex phonologies and uncommon phonemes, so they appear far more than you'd expect, even though Gleb is just picking randomly with little weighting.
Actually, being able to weight things would be great, as well as creating "presets" like "East Asian Tonal Language", "Indo-European Language", "North Caucasian Mixed With Australian", etc.
