Mridlar, pimi--towupelalinmir pinel ato.
bird being MASC-make_noise-HAB-PL only all
Birds, people--they all just make noise.

(in Tirina, there generally aren't specific verbs for animal sounds, like "to bark" or "to meow"; you just say wupela de <animal> "make a sound like <animal>")
I generally forget to say, so if it's relevant and I don't mention it--I'm from Southern Michigan and speak Inland North American English. Yes, I have the Northern Cities Vowel Shift; no, I don't have the cot-caught merger; and it is called pop.

Old? Who is old? Although I'm no longer very young, I'm not that old. Last Monday, women from my running class thought I was just 30-35 yo. I had difficulty convincing them that I was born in 1972 :).

It was my birthday yesterday.

Still trying to work on my Celtic conlang, but I think I need to do some more tweaks with sound changes, as I really don't think every consonant that precedes a yod needs to be palatalized... (not entirely apparent in this sentence) :S
