"Agwa" comes from Spanish, and became to mean "drinking water" when Spanish-speaking people started selling bottled water (amongst other things) from carts yelling "agua! helado! picadera!". Since these days Sajiwans call drinking water "agwa", ice cream "elada" and snacks like candy bars "pikadera".
