WOW! Really nice banknotes! I think a tutorial in how to made something like that will be glorious!vampireshark wrote:Dragon! I love dragons. And Yiuel's picture of one is most awesome. Though isn't that his "signature" for drawings?
Oh, out of sheer boredom, I made obverses for two of the three Ilian banknotes.
YJD 25, approximately USD 1.20
YJD 100, approximately USD 4.76
If you object to your picture on here, though, I'll change it. But I am looking for someone to appear on the YJD 500...

It's name is Infinite Lake, derived from a nickname that was given to it by many travellers that fared around it : you're never done travelling around it, so "it has no end". It's actually large enough to sustain its own currents, and even create cyclones in the southern (lower) parts. Funnily enough, it's not based on the great lakes, but on a mix of the Reservoir Gouin (an artificial lake north of Trois-Rivières) and the African Great Lakes (rift lakes). You can see other rift lakes along the way.Torco wrote:Love the huge inner lake [canadian, are we ?]... but what's up with the river network down south ?

It's Christoph Schrader's picture, not surprisingly.Delthayre wrote:No, it's a member of these fora, although I forget just who it is. Vampireshark solicited pictures for possible use on banknotes a while back.
The other one, incidentally, features a picture of me.

"Rule number one of Ilia: you do not talk about Ilia. Rule number two of Ilia: you do not talk about Ilia."Is Edward Norton the guy on the YJD 100? It resembles him.

Thanks! You should try shading if you haven't. It's fun! I can barely draw a doodle without shading it.Viktor77 wrote:Awesome! Love the texture!Skomakar'n wrote:Viktor got me in the mood for some pixel work. I do this way too rarely.

Shading is something I've never done in pixel art. I enjoy the simplicity and manipulatability of my way, but it's awesome you can do it well!!
