If someone said /buð/ to me, my first reaction would be to take it as a verb, since it reminds me of another alteration: shelf and shelve.

The C[-voice] > C[+voice] + <e> construction tends to take a noun meaning "X" and create a verb meaning "to apply X to", either literally or figuratively. Since booths are already enclosing objects, "enboothe" might be overkill. But I can also see "to boothe" meaning "to deck out in booths, as at a convention hall", in which case a particular display in that hall might be "enboothed" as part of the process.

Regarding plurals, I think it's ambiguous - both voiced and unvoiced are probably acceptable (and in fact, the dictionary has both).

I think I heard <Bangor> once ages ago, but I can't remember whether it sounded like <banger> or <ban gore>.

It seems that the pattern of leniting fortis final fricatives preceded by vowels in singular noun forms in both verb stems and plural noun forms derived from them seems to be at least somewhat sporadically productive in nouns where it would not or could not have applied historically...

I have been thinking about how people pronounce the name of the character Hannelore, specifically in Questionable Content. The reason is that I myself am familiar with the name as a German-language name, not an English-language one, yet Questionable Content is an English-language webcomic and the character in question in it is not German (as far as we know).

I am used to the Standard German /ˈhanəˌloːrə/ > [ˈhanəˌloːʁə], and am not really used to any canonical English pronunciation.

Hence I tend to mentally use the English pronunciation /ˈhanəˌlɔrə/ > [ˈhãːnəːˌʟ̞ɔːʁˤə(ː)]~[ˈhãːnəːˌɰɔːʁˤə(ː)]~[ˈhã̂ːɐ̯̃ˌʟ̞ɔːʁˤə(ː)]~[ˈhã̂ːɐ̯̃ˌɰɔːʁˤə(ː)] or sometimes the more overtly anglicized /ˈhɛnəˌlɔrə/ > [ˈhɛ̃ːnəːˌʟ̞ɔːʁˤə(ː)]~[ˈhɛ̃ːnəːˌɰɔːʁˤə(ː)]~[ˈhɛ̃̂ːə̯̃ˌʟ̞ɔːʁˤə(ː)]~[ˈhɛ̃̂ːə̯̃ˌɰɔːʁˤə(ː)].

I have heard of pronunciations with apocope being used in English, yet they just do not seem right to me, being familiar with the Standard German pronunciation thereof.
