Resurrect!

I've been slowly working on redoing the grammar.
Here are the first sections completed. I'll probably do the overview last, so it's basically a place holder now.

See this.

"Superlative" is abbreviated SUPL or SUP in best practice interlinear morphemic glossing.

"Comparative" is abbreviated COMP in best practice interlinear morphemic glossing.

Say Degree of Comparison instead of "Quantity".

"Masculine" is abbreviated MASC or M in best practice interlinear morphemic glossing.

Say "augmentative" instead of "augmentive".

"Possessive" is abbreviated POSS or POS in best practice interlinear morphemic glossing.

"Dual" grammatical number is abbreviated DU or du in best practice interlinear morphemic glossing.

What you call "quantifiers" may better be called "quantity"; or, maybe, "quantifiers" is good.

I know of no abbreviations for "none" or "some", nor of any alternate interpretations of NON or SOM. But ALL stands for the Allative case in best practice IMGs; you might prefer something else.

Thanks. But I'm going to stick with my own personal glosses.
I don't think they're counterintuitive (maybe just counter to the standard). I doubt it'll be an issue since I'm consistent within my own glossing and I plan to have a reference chart with the abbreviations I use.

You're going to have fit when you see what I use for cases. XD

I'll go fix the terminology though.

I've been watching silently for a while. :)
Does that mean I make a thread here dedicated to 'svenska och horor' too?
Hahahaha.

Anyway, I'll have to read your grammar in a while. Right now, I'm going to do something about the urges I got from Finlays picture, and have something to eat.

EDIT:
Okay. I haven't read all of it yet, because I got inspired and started adding words to my own language, haha, but I've read a few pages. I like what you're doing with this. I'm fond of fairly large inventories of vowels compared to yours, but when I found out about all of the allophony and actual realisations going on, I was happily surprised.

I thought one thing was a bit inconsistent about the orthography, and that is the usage of <ny> for /J/, but <j> for /j/. Does /nj/ or /n'/ contrast with /J/? If not, how come you're not using <nj>?

The little I've read about all of the phonological assimilation so far is really nice. Do you keep track of it all in your head yet?

I also like how you're compounding so much since you have such few word classes. I'll have to read more when my frenzy to work on my own language dies out a little, haha.

:) Well with only 3 vowels there's a lot of space to move around in.
Check out the regional allophones at the end.

It should be <y> for /j/ and <ny> for /ɲ/. Let me know if I goofed somewhere.

I don't know... I've been doing it forever now. XD
I'm still rough on the consonant allophony though. So I do have to go back and look at the pages for some less common allophones.

I still wish you'd go with "du" instead of "dl" for "dual".

I was gonna join in with that.

I might revive my studies if I get bored in the holidays because I do find Inyauk very interesting. I like the new format for the grammar too. :D

I feel like I should say something mean now to balance this post out.

I guess I should post this here as well.

I have discontinued work on Inyauk.
It was my first conlang and I'm quite proud of it. However, I feel as if I have taken the language as far as I can. I learned a lot while making Inyauk but it's time to move on to other projects.

I will look forward to seeing your future work, then. However, I'd still like to see Inyauk once in a while; even though you seem to prefer the CBB (which I do not visit). I do think it's an one-of-a-kind language...

Hardly no! It's more that I no longer have the desire to work on it in its current form.

Inyauk was really lovely. I tried studying it at some point; you've 'finished' something very nice. :)
