I hold you responsible for failing to notice that Suzanne Collins doesn't control your actions!

That's like criticizing someone for, while referencing Star Wars and programming a videogame where you're forced to either adhere to the light or the dark sides of the force, promoting a simplistic view of morality. The whole chick-tribute, guy-tribute, according to viki, is a trait of the source material.

if it's not, then I've said nothing.

Yes it is an excuse! If the book is written ABCD and the movie is written ABCD, how do I make a MOVIE promo at a MOVIE THEATRE that is ABXY?

Do what all promoters do and make it sound more awesome than it actually is, in this case by pretending that it's inclusive of non-binary people. Obviously.

But it's NOT inclusive of non-binary people! I'm all for inclusion just as much as you but that is not how it was written! That is like arguing that black people are under represented in Titanic so building a movie promo of Jack and Rose kissing on the deck we'll just add a black first class couple in the background for inclusion! That doesn't make sense because that is not historically accurate! This book is fictitious, Titanic's story was fictitious. You must adhere to the source material as it is written, inclusive or not! If the writer wanted it inclusive, they would have written it as such. If you have such a problem with that, don't read the book and don't see the movie.

I don't expect white slaves in the Color Purple so neither would I expect non-binary people in the Hunger Games!

You're the one claiming The Help ladies can well be Mexican transgendered lesbians and the story will still make sense.

You interpreted what I wrote in the wrong direction.

I was asking why there wasn't just one bowl for "tributes".

Because the book and movie explicitly divide girl and boy tributes. There is one boy and one girl tribute from each District.

Inspired by a simular thread on nation states, my houses in tile format. (All WIP)

Salthan House

Salthan house, ground floor (Needs fireplace still, and other touches)

Salthan house, second floor

Salthan Temple

Those banners were actually kind of a pain in the butt, even considering I already had the images, since I had to scroll them tiny and then touch them up. :P

I noticed I used the wrong tiles for the doorway (should be the indoor tiles), oh well. I'll fix next update.

Apparently, my usual image hosting site isn't giving me the BBCode for posting stuff, so I'll just post this link to the latest reworking of something on my end.

EDIT:

And, while I'm at it,

(Thanks to GP. Though, incidentally, it wouldn't have been put on DA if the image hosting server worked properly. Plus, I've been feeling lazy-ish as of late. I blame it being vacation and the cold weather.)

Do you mean the temple? as I said, it's WIP. I still havn't done anything with inside the temple proper (the upper part) yet.

The courtyard is supposed to be pretty much empty, though I could add something like lighting and maybe some decorative things. It does look too empty, now that you mention it.

Also, I forgot texture credits.

Most of these textures are by Redshrike, and the outdoor floor texture is by XMorg (Both can be found at http://www.opengameart.com).

Does Tolkien ever expound on Gladriel's lack of a penis? Since he expounds on everything else in his world (at length), and he doesn't mention once how she doesn't have any male anatomy, the only logical explanation is that she does!

Lookit what I made this evening:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8026017/zbb/ibu ... ompose.zip

It's a module for ibus-table that contains my own basic compose key sequences, that is, with mnemonics that make sense to me. I included the source as well as the spreadsheet that I used for sorting things out, so you can extend this yourself if you want.

This isn't quite as nice as the real Compose Key function because it always takes at least 1 key stroke more, but as long as IBUS ignores ~/.XCompose and replaces it with its own combinations, I guess it adds at least some comfort.
