Re: Help your conlang fluency
Just going through a list of phrases to test the grammar of Alahithian and have created the longest noun phrase so far:
Fisod bilawo modow valivawez shang fiwij davo.
child-PL many have wreath.of.flowers-PL their head.PL on
Many little girls with wreaths of flowers on their heads.
Something in this grammar is working. So far...

Not all au /aw/ diphthongs became /o/ in Irlandic. The disjunction is /a/ spelled au etymologically.
Concretely, word-initial /aw/ became just /a/: adir (to hear), asar (both to dare and to roast), ar (gold), arelya (ear); while at other places it behaved as in Spanish or Catalan: tor (bull), poc (few), etc. There are also exceptions to /o/ in favor of /a/ in Spanish, in case of initial aug- (agosto for instance), in Irlandic it just generalized in that position. In some dialects with vocalization of /l/ in coda, we hear things like atre today for altre (other).
