Newroman with Greek letters is really simple, but I think it looks cool.
And in katakana, it's just ridiculous.

I don't like katakana anyway. I constantly see it ruining English. And all the characters look the same. I like hiragana. And I have a love-hate relationship with kanji (or should I say "chinese characters" in yaufulti?).

You may only use Greek letters if you copy all the dumb rules and diphthongs of Greek!
Or Zeus will smite you.

I kind of plan to make a conscript based on Phoenician. This language, Newroman (name pending), is supposed to be spoken in an alternate universe where the Carthiginians won the Second Punic War, but Rome survived.
(so far, longest text in this language. might have made a mistake)

You can write Ayeri with Greek letters as well.

I'm curious about your conlang, Finlay. Is it related to Japanese, or does it simple use its writing system?

I'm not the best at making conscripts, but I want to try, at least.

I have stopped working on the language of the Lusitanic people, because I am working on a new language. As for this language, its word order is very different from that of Lusitanic.

Yalusepe. (...)
It's not. I was just trying it for my own amusement, partly because I realised that it was a fairly good fit and that Japanese has almost enough symbols to accommodate it (with the exception of i vs. yi - although i is only used for diphthongs and doesn't occur in its own right, you can get a distinction between nei and neyi, for example).
If I wrote a gloss it would be fairly obvious that although the rough syntax is similar to Japanese, the nominal morphology especially is very different, as Yaufulti has determiners and polypersonal agreement.

In Japan there are hot humid summers and cold dry winters. This is the opposite to how it should be (ie, how it is in Europe).

Thry has it exactly right: if I don't wear underpants then my bollocks scrape along the ground and they chafe like hell. Also it's more hygenic: nobody wants the inevitable wet spot on the front of your trousers after pissing.
