I kind of plan to make a conscript based on Phoenician. This language, Newroman (name pending), is supposed to be spoken in an alternate universe where the Carthiginians won the Second Punic War, but Rome survived.

I have stopped working on the language of the Lusitanic people, because I am working on a new language. As for this language, its word order is very different from that of Lusitanic.

It's not. I was just trying it for my own amusement, partly because I realised that it was a fairly good fit and that Japanese has almost enough symbols to accommodate it (with the exception of i vs. yi - although i is only used for diphthongs and doesn't occur in its own right, you can get a distinction between nei and neyi, for example).
If I wrote a gloss it would be fairly obvious that although the rough syntax is similar to Japanese, the nominal morphology especially is very different, as Yaufulti has determiners and polypersonal agreement.

I've been in Spain during the summer (in Salamanca). It was hot, but there was no humidity. It was paradise to me.
