When you have an empty canvas, you can be creative all you want. It's not necessary to destroy to build, when you have enough space.

[zə ˈbloːd ʊv ʊnˈʃiu̯ditʃ mɪn bɪ(ð) zə bɛi̯st ɪŋk]

(The word for 'ink' obviously would've been borrowed in; I haven't started on the Romance conlang it'd be borrowed from, but who cares, it'd be borrowed from Old French. Or it could be derived on what looks like the Celtic model, 'black' plus some sort of nominalizer, dunno which it'd be. As for 'of', regular development would give it short o, but v diphthongizes before consonants and unstressed ou reduces to short u, and that got projected back into 'of' through analogy. I don't know how to handle adjective nominalization yet. Really ought to work out the grammar properly.)

(Interestingly here, 'caalj', guilt, is a homophone of 'caalj', shield - at least, in the nominative singular and accusative plural. So, the word 'uncaaljìsk' could be read as either 'innocent' or 'unshielded', which, in this case, I think can be pretty interchangable.)

I'm trying to produce two languages at the same time for my conworld, which is hard but I'm focussing on Taqluong right now (and eventually move to the Luong family in the future) but I did get a lot farther with Selkut, another language. So here is a random sentencein Selkut:

Hirťin wtamħas urťu maǧešiz.
>FEM.PL<stone >N/ACC.PL<dark garden.GEN <DEF>climb-PST.I.1.SG
/hirθin wtamxas urθu maʕəʃiz/
I climbed the garden's dark stones.

"Jappang" is made up of characters used phonetically only. "Jap" means "ten" and "pang" means "hold/enclose".
