Actually the Japanese uses more kanji, if only because I translated "go skiing" as "go to ski" (one kanji, and ski in katakana) in Japanese and "do ski" (hiragana/katakana) in Yaufulti. Winter translates to "cold-period" in Yaufulti, so I used two kanji, but real is a single morpheme, single kanji. The opposite is true of Japanese – winter is a single morpheme and "hontou" (real) is two kanji (the one I used in Yaufulti, 正, usually means "correct" but I interpreted it as "real" for my purposes). The Yaufulti uses more hiragana especially the first sentence.

wonder if I could adopt hangul/hanja to Amqoli. katakana is definitely out, too many clusters. this is a horrible and probably wrong in many ways abuse of it (phonetic characters! there really is nothing about toothaches in here, but there's nothing even remotely like /dze/ in hangul. and phonetic complements to hanja to make the last line fit! edit: fourteen kill stele. DOUBLEKILLED) but sig:

天에物萬잇人임以두養투創造치
人이움物예天엠다報以齭다無有
殺솔殺솔殺솔殺솔殺솔殺솔殺솔
殺殺殺殺殺殺殺殺殺殺殺殺殺殺

It is not as concise as Chinese -- exactly twice as much not.

To be honest, in British English, the pun only works when spoken. We write the two differently: groin for the body part and groyne for the breakwater.

I just scared myself to death. I didn't have coffee today, so just now as I was coming from the bathroom I got a bit dizzy and stumbled, and would have fallen down the stairs headfirst if my hand hadn't got trapped in the door.
