In the completely non-sexist language of a certain country that has a v in it, the words for ovary/testicle and Fallopian tube/vas deferens are exactly the same.

It is proper, though there's a movement in medicine to get rid of eponyms (things named after people) and replace them with more descriptive terms. The non-eponym for Fallopian tubes is "intrauterine tubes", but it's not quite as catchy, so it hasn't caught on yet.

Why "intrauterine"? Doesn't "intra-" mean "inside"?
