I don't anyone's mentioned the Jeerio story so far.
I have to confess I'm the one who encouraged Mark to publish it; and I'm glad he did. It has an endearing quality to it; and I suppose we can take it as the first Almea story written, or maybe the first work done on it period. Maybe someone would like to translate it to Fladish?
The drawings, esp. the color ones, remind me of my own from about the same age; roundish, stylistic, porportions slightly off in places.

For some reason I felt like translating the first sentence of "Jeerio" into Flaidish. Don't believe anyone who tells you Flaidish is easy. It's really, really, really tricky. And I guess I still got wrong a couple of things - and probably more.
I borrowed "algebra" and "chronometer" from Verdurian, I couldn't find logarithm and I had no appropriate substitute. As for "Sailing ship", well, I've found a substitute but it's just unsatisfying.
