i was finally trying to get into Almea, and i was a little confused about the High and Low {Or little} Cuezians in the historical Atlas. Are the little Cuezians just those of the Karazi who came into Erenat but were not part of the kingdom of Cuzei? {and presumably spoke dialects of Cuezi} or is it some other reason?
Oh, and as for someone who is interested in Astronomy, i was just wondering if you were ever going to put up a star chart of the southern constillations? the information i found was very interesting.
I was alos wondering about Sarroc. i know it will most likely be heavily
repressed but is it still spoken by the majoritiy of that people, or is it in decline?

Re: A few questions for Mark
Yes, the Little Cuzeians are simply those Karazi who were not part of the Cuzeian kingdoms per se. They were more pastoralists than agriculturalists-- thus retaining more of the ancestral lifestyle. They spoke languages that were sisters of Cuezi.
I haven't done a star chart, but that would be fun to do some time!
As for Sarroc, it's still the majority language in western Dhekhnam, though of course it's not used for administration. If the conquest persists for centuries it will probably decline; but the Dhekhnami consider it an advantage, if anything. People who don't know the language of power are easier to control.

This is something I've thought about as well. Since my conworld is an awful lot like a (highly distorted) alternate Earth, I would like to keep the same star charts as ours, but take the constellations (particularly the zodiac), and make up an entirely different set of pictures, with corresponding mythical/legendary connections. After all, the Greco-Roman arrangement of the constellations most of us are familiar with is only one among many here on Earth.zompist wrote:I haven't done a star chart, but that would be fun to do some time!

Thanks for that, it was just bothering me. Also i noticed that Kahinisa (Kaini) the sister language of Cadhinor is not marked with a cross on the proto-eastern page, and hense it is suposed to still be spoken, but it is not marked on the map of languages on that page, and i cannot find it anywhere else. is this correct, or is there a problem with either the map or the cross?

Ah, that's a typo-- thanks. Kahinisa needs a cross.Warmaster wrote:Thanks for that, it was just bothering me. Whey! i helped!
seriously though, i have habits of noticing stuff like that. i think its from my mum. you could blow up the house and she wouldn't notice, but move one spoon and she'll see it a miles off.
Can't think of anything else to ask for now, so thanks for that, and i'm off to bed.

Right here's one. if Caynas {Spelling???} Was conquered c. 1150, {i'm not sure if the atlas gives an exact date?} was Kahinisa ever recorded? and if so to how a great extent and when did it die out. infact, do you know when most of the proto-eastern languages were recorded, i couldn't find any real information on most of them in that respect.
Sorry to ask technical questions, im a picky sod really
