Received. Starting the translation right away, because I'm bored.

You forgot the English translation, though...

What? We have to do that now? Fie. I never made a smooth English translation, just a crib to help going from OS to OO.

We always did. It's to help those that don't know either Old French or Old Occitan, after all... a bare bones outline should be ok though.

Oh god, I am officially destroying the text. I think I may just have invented a new idiom whose meaning evades me.

I thought it was Dewrad, but it was written Deward in the first post, so I thought I was wrong.

I believe it's fixed now...

Is there anyone willing to do Finnish to Japanese (possibly with something else in the middle) in case Qwynegold doesn't show up?

Oh god, whosever's idea it was to replace proper nouns with pronouns in the text because it supposedly makes it easier... you were wrong. I feel sure that this text originally had three or four different participants who could only be distinguished by name – context isn't always enough. But perhaps it's just Mangled already.

Anyway, I'm done, so passing it on...

Maybe next time we should resort to something like put the proper nouns in italic?

Not to make it easier, to make it harder.

I would suggest that we just replace them with a bunch of made up names next time around though. Removing the names altogether has a tendency of fucking things up an extra degree for reasons that may just be unwarranted.

By the way, if anyone can do Finish to Spanish, I can work with that as well. Might get things rolling if Qwynegold continues to be elusive.

OMG sorry! I had completely forgotten about this and then I went on vacation. I'll do my translation today. If I had gotten the text on time, I would've done it weeks ago.

And the genders got lost in Finnish. But at least I can determine the gender of a few of the pronouns, because of that person's lady parts that are mentioned.

I guess the interesting part is how long I've actually been Shalea while still only being some 30 posts past the mark. Not that I mind, really, I always did find the Gent banner to be more attractive. ;)

I still don't understand these titles. What's the meaning of the names? When does the title change?

Well, these are the post counts for when they change...

Iseléaku 1
Ur 50
Për 100
Endi 250
Tšur 500
Mey 1000
Gent 2000
Šalea 6000

Don't know what they mean.

They're words from Verdurian... Elemental spirits or something.

Fun as it is to read about your endeavours, shouldn't we try to keep the spoilers to a minimum? I don't just mean Qwyne and fin, it seems to me that there's generally been more talk about the text this time than in previous iterations.
