Yeah, that's not remotely as terrible as previous things you've posted here.

Yeah, I finally came to my senses and realized that my last work looked like an Eliot-reading polyglot had barfed on a page.

This reminds me of a poem I wrote one evening a few weeks ago:

In passing clouds, in water drops,
there do these forces play,
in both the set and rise of sun,
sky stained at edge of day.

It lies within the flower sweet,
and all the breath of spring,
but also in the winter ice,
snow cov'ring everything.

You'll see it in the singing bird,
clear in the hidden doe,
but also hidden, should you look,
in people that you know.

Yes, beauty lies near everywhere;
enjoy it while you can;
soak in life's boundless beauty,
know what 'tis to be Man.
"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort."
–Herm Albright

Oh. If we're posting poetry, then here's one I wrote recently that's the bastard child of sestina and noir fiction:

(ahem)

The Digger

I was on the losing end of three hands
of duff cards; each round a waste
of good cash after better. The line
of table chatter was stacking words
towards my exit: the struts of a door
and my shadow through it, walking away.

Perhaps the cut of my suit scared away
some guardian angels. The deft hands
that re-fizz my gin are yours, door
keepers for happier places. We waste
a glance between us, eye-white words
feeding each other the pickup line.

You breathe in my ear: 'I can line
you up with something stronger, away
from the tables, yes?'
Easy words
to your blood-wine lips, easy like hands
in a pocket tapping on change. I waste
no time, ditch the game. The door

mule-kicks back at my push; your door
swivels easy on its hinge. A tight line
of lights marks the shore — we waste
a moment to draw in salt air. Then away
to a different land, jungle hot: hands
meshed as tight as mosquito nets; words

possum-still as if hunted by jaguar; words
hurled from stormy lungs. When the door
clicks open, again, when strange hands
grab at my limbs, when a hemp line
tightens at my neck I am already away —
lost within some wormwood waste.

'Who are you?' Your probe is a waste
of our time: who am I? A set of words,
nothing more; a gambler, a drunk away
from his righteous wagon, a door
pusher, a grifter quick with a line;
a man who sees futures in many hands.

A rustle of hands picking through your waste;
a click on your phone line — who hears your words?
I'll knock on your door and take you away …

To switch from poetry to drama (and how!), I am currently converting everybody's favorite fanfiction into a play that you can follow here.

I expressed myself creatively by cutting my hair (and I had to take the photo of the result together with my new baby):

I haven't shown my face in a while, though. First of all, I couldn't have my bangs straight down, or I would see nothing. Secondly, I've cut short layers for the first time in... a year, probably. Before this, all of the hair pretty much had the same length, except for the bangs.

Bakgrundsfärgskalan.

First word I could come up with. Nothing fake about it. I'm sure I've used it sometime. My spell checker doesn't even complain.

Working on it. This thing took me all evening and I totally forgot doing my homework reading for tomorrow :?

I didn't list pages 5 through 8 because that would've been repetitive and there's still stuff missing.

1. Every PDF is an e-book in principle. When it's finished it'll be an e-brochure, more like.
2. Yes, and it's almost readable on p. 9
