a) The hat doesn't suit you.
b) Seriously, you do look better now. It could be the hair.

Dewrad , I agree, I don't like myself on that picture and indeed I think it's the [s]hat[/s] hair, this is my passport pic from 2006:
I always seem to have this strained tense look on passport pics.

You look like you're really angry at somebody and you're so disappointed that you can't even think of anything to say.

blank stare II, lol, that's pretty accurate, can you make a proper scan? I quite like it. As for my terrorist status:

I really just picked the latest picture to reply to without any real reasoning behind my choice, but in retrospect, you do have a very symmetrical face and no blemishes as far as I can see. You should consider yourself a pretty good-looking guy!

Io and jal: At least it's not the case where you look stoned. Which is how I look in my passport photo. Fortunately, my learner permits and visas have marginally better images...
And, yeah, Io does look very good. Though I prefer him with stubble.

@MisterBernie: Woooooooooow!!! Love it. It's greenish-blue? Turquoise? It looks clearer in the second photo.
I have the same haircut, only that the crest is ultrashort and flat. XD

It's blues and greens, deliberately running into each other. It's like an ocean on my head
And I love it, too. I've been looking at myself in every reflective surface I passed XD
