Please add a so that I'd know you're jokingAstraios wrote:I apologize that my taste in music is for music in other languages than English and that it just so happens that most of the music which fits my tastes best happens to be voices like Ivri Lider even though I know that you're wrong because it is actually the case that I like for example Mari Boine's music even better than Ivri Lider and even though it's not my fault that you interpret a rather exaggerated praise as being an unwholesome obsession like a typical Israeli who follows American music more closely than Israeli music and only now shall I conclude by admitting that I'm only continuing to write to see how long I can make this sentence without using commas just to piss of Skomakar'n.Mr. Z wrote:Oh come on. Oh, and I really can't understand a word without commas. But it's just that it pisses me off that I don't recognize any of the songs you post here Well, that time shall come soon enough.
By the way, this reminded me of something. They're bringing "The Voice" to Israel now, but the promos all look like one big campaign to praise the judges. I mean, they keep saying stuff like "The soundtrack of our lives" and "the voice we all know" about the judges. It's just weird And when I told my friend about it, he said he didn't even know those singers.

Typical Israeli. Just sit in Youtube and start off from Idan Raichel or Natan Goshan or something, and go through the related videos. I bet you'll never recognize the songs I post.Mr. Z wrote:Oh, and I really can't understand a word without commas. We don't have that in the UK until next year. Who are the Israeli judges?Mr. Z wrote:By the way, this reminded me of something. I know it goddamn doesn't... It's the title of a song, we capitalise words in a title. If you're all gonna get all fucking pissy over the name of a song then take it up with Schwefelgelb not me.Astraios wrote:And he's telling you German doesn't capitalize titles that way...Nannalu wrote:It's the name of a song.....

You know, it's funny it's spelt "Geffen", because the fact that it's /f/ and not /p/ actually stems from it's lack of historical gemination... AFAIK, there never was and there isn't such a thing as /f:/ or [f:] in Hebrew.

That's a Swedish band. I used to think it was "Soundtrack of Days of Our Lives" and was like "wth wants to buy that CD?"Mr. Z wrote:"The soundtrack of our lives"

Somewhat trance-inducing. (And no, I don't speak Bambara, so I have no idea what the lyrics are actually saying)

Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard - Now we are free (Gladiator OST)
Although the language is a conlang, sometimes it sounds like Etruscan to me. By the way, anyone knows songs sung in (reconstructed) Etruscan?

As far as I know it's not a true conlang but a mix of invented words without any meaning.Skomakar'n wrote:I have that song in my Spotify list! It's good! I didn't know it was a conlang!
