I made these little LED light boxes that hold replaceable movie mylars. I have about 100 mylars so these lamps can be constantly changed.

In case you don't know, movie mylars are sent by the studio to the theatre to place over the door to the theatre where the movie is playing in a little ceiling light box, or in a hall with arrows to the theatre, or on a lightbox which indicates times movies are playing.

I "stole" them from the movie theatre. I got connections. :P

I'll use them as lamps I think.

That's pretty good, Torco, especially the shading. The only criticism I might make is that the neck is a bit too long, or the head too small: I'm told that the breastline (or nipples, can't remember which) is usually about a headlength below the head.

I think it's just coincidence. They both like boobs, so they draw them whenever they get the chance.

come to think about it, it looks kinda zompist-ish, though I daresay mine has a couple of grams more expression, if like two kilos less in the technique department. As for boobs... what straio said.

I was trying to make her look like she was tilting her head forwards to highlight the brash, open hearted expression. I guess i fail at necks xD

but hey, I had forgotten how fun this drawing stuff is; which is what I say everytime I draw and then I never do it again until a year later

You need to use a reference, those proportions are visibly incorrect.

I made this kind of seal today when I was bored because my internet didn't work, and procrastinating the heck out of what I should actually have been doing. It started out as trying to make some abstract interlocking circular shape in Inkscape. And then it kind of resembled a sun, and then I somehow got that shape at the bottom which, arranged with the crest thing this way, kind of resembles an orchid like those my mother used to have, but with weird petals (or maybe spearheads rather?). I decided it would be some kind of an official seal in my not at all worked out conworld. I then did some heavy afterwork with Photoshop to make it kind of look like a stamp.

I have inkscape, but I'm not very good at using it.

I'd like to make some seals like that, for the main conpeoples of my conworld, but I am not a very good graphical artist.

I could draw something, as I'm good at making patterns or abstract symbols, so I could ask someone else to finish them digitally.

EDIT: By the way, that really looks cool, I liked the first one in red, instead of the current avatar you have.

Thanks, thanks. With the details (deliberately) sqashed that much, the middle part reminded me of a panda face, though. That's why I uploaded the clean version on an afterthought.

Jipí/GP: Very cool design. The original you have in red actually looks quite a bit like an official stamp or the type of impression a rubber stamp would make, which makes it even more awesome. By twofold, probably.

And, speaking of stamps, I designed a set of these for Viktor's con-country, Falgwia:

I see what you did there

as for the falgwian stamps: aren't airport thingies a bit more convoluted?

Nice. Maybe you should attempt to acquire such a rubber stamp, assuming you can find someone to do it cheaply. Or make it a DIY project.
El Torco wrote:as for the falgwian stamps: aren't airport thingies a bit more convoluted?
It depends on the country, but not for most of Europe... granted, the ink might fluoresce, but the design for the Schengen-Area stamps (and the Romanian... and the Bulgarian... and the Cypriot...) are very simple and generally uniform; I based these stamps off the ones from Bulgaria. As they are for pretty much every country I've visited (read: none outside Europe or North America), save Croatia and Canada. And Viktor imagines this to be an EU country, so... yeah, the stamp format'd be the usual boring-ish format.
