There are more than a few kids at my school who have a standard full beard and mustache. Sure none of them are "Santa Claus" beards or anything similar, but atleast they don't have pencil mustaches.

Speaking as a person who doesn't do things like "shave" or "wear socks" as often as society would prefer I do, I'm all for not giving a shit about how other people think you look, but only so long as you know that they think you look terrible. I dunno, it's rumored to be one, but I get the feeling it works. I used to have long hair that was thin and balding, and then I shaved my head daily for like a month, and now my hair is thick as a horse's cock, and it doesn't fall anymore. granted, anecdote, but still.

It's kind of true in that if you start with thin hair such as helios' bumfluff, when it grows back it will grow back coarser; the individual hairs will be wider because they've been cut off at a certain point (remember they taper towards the end, so they will be thin and wispy at the end and thicker towards the base, so if you cut it off there, it'll be sharper.).

You get more hair with time; it's an urban myth that shaving makes more hair grow; but it will make it coarser in the short term, and it's probably been linked accidentally, because most men shave and also end up with decent beards as they grow older... if you see what I mean...
