Yeah, it can be said in three ways, with slightly different connotations (it's something difficult for me to express in English). (I'd say the one without a preposition sounds a bit archaic, but someone else could disagree with that.)

If you want, say it in Polish; my passive understanding is much better than my active skills are.

Well, the problem is more about abstracting patterns used subconsciously in a native tongue and less about translating stuff.

For me, przez works the best with imperfective actions, but it implies a certain degree of durativeness (cf. „przez cały dzień”, „przez cały czas”).

w works with imperfective actions as well, but I think there's an implication of a contrast with some other determined time span, e.g. „w jeden dzień było ładnie, w drugi dzień było brzydko”.

przez and w can also work with telic perfective (and sometimes imperfective) actions by putting the stress on the time it took to do something, e.g. „przez jedno lato napisał pięć książek” (he wrote five books in one summer — it was so fast) or „w pięć lat przeczytał jedną książkę” (he read one book in five years — it took so long). Also, some nouns prefer accusative while others prefer locative.

The construction without a preposition can work either with accusative, genitive or instrumental.

· Bare accusative nouns can work any of the three ways, but afaik not with perfective verbs.

· Bare genitive and instrumental nouns can work with either type of verbs, but with a slightly different meaning than the accusative nouns (e.g. „jeden dzień było ładnie” vs „jednego dnia było ładnie” — the former sounds more durative and the latter sounds more contrastive).

(If there's somebody with a better understanding of Polish temporal expressions, feel free to correct me.)

Chyba skandal o scenę z nagością w tym filmie jeszcze był w pamięci dużo ludzi w latach siedemdziesiątych. Potem ludzie wprost zostali presyconi nagością na ekranach.
Probablement, le scandale environ la scène de nu dans ce film était encore en mémoire chez beaucoup des gens dans les années soixante-dix. Puis les gens sont simplement devenus sursaturés de nudité sur l'écran.
Waarschijnlijk was de schandaal om de naaktscène in die film nog en het geheugen van vele mensen in de jaaren zeventig. Daarna zijn vele menschen gewoon overzadigd worden met naaktheid op de schermen.
Probably the scandal around the nude scene in that film was still in many people's memory in the 70s. Then people simply became jaded about nudity on screen.

*If you want to use "worden", it's "geworden", but I think "oververzadigd" calls for "raken".

Tonight I went out with one of my friends and two of his friends to have dinner. My friend is flying away tomorrow. I like his friends.
