That certainly avoids looking like the Nickelodeon logo. But it looks rather spindly in a way that I don't see in real-life landmasses. I could go for something like that, but I always assumed the oval shape was more realistic.

Oh, out of sheer boredom, I made obverses for two of the three Ilian banknotes.

YJD 25, approximately USD 1.20

YJD 100, approximately USD 4.76

If you object to your picture on here, though, I'll change it. But I am looking for someone to appear on the YJD 500...
WOW! Really nice banknotes! I think a tutorial in how to made something like that will be glorious!

Are you using MS Paint, Yiuel? What happened to that other really awesome map you had, or was that Melville?

Here's some pixels I've been working on. The first is of an old farmhouse from 1880 we recently did a report on. I took it from drap to fab by restoring it to (and adding to) its original condition.

It's name is Infinite Lake, derived from a nickname that was given to it by many travellers that fared around it : you're never done travelling around it, so "it has no end". It's actually large enough to sustain its own currents, and even create cyclones in the southern (lower) parts. Funnily enough, it's not based on the great lakes, but on a mix of the Reservoir Gouin (an artificial lake north of Trois-Rivières) and the African Great Lakes (rift lakes). You can see other rift lakes along the way.

As for the river network, the map's not detailed enough, but suffice to say that those four rivers went into the sea seperately at one time, but eventually ended up creating deltas, eventually bridging the gap between the island (south) and the continent (north) into a system of endless marshes. It's climate being equatorial, it looks pretty much like the Amazon delta.

The map labelled with North American regions is funny, because I did see some similarity with North America in some parts. But there are also some similarities with Eurasia as well. Still, it's not based on either.

Viktor : I do have a better version of that map, but you're maybe thinking of another map I've been working on recently. But this map of Taasao was only a rough sketch to demonstrate that not all maps are splatters.

Hmm, table breaking isn't in Urban Dictionary so I haven't the slightest clue what you're saying. :?

I must be thinking of that one, Yiuel.

No, it's a member of these fora, although I forget just who it is. Vampireshark solicited pictures for possible use on banknotes a while back.

The other one, incidentally, features a picture of me.

It's Christoph Schrader's picture, not surprisingly.

And, speaking of pics, if anyone would care to contribute something for one final banknote, such would be appreciated.

Awesome! Love the texture!

Shading is something I've never done in pixel art. I enjoy the simplicity and manipulatability of my way, but it's awesome you can do it well!!

Thanks! You should try shading if you haven't. It's fun! I can barely draw a doodle without shading it.

Something I've been thinking about for a while; decided to try a mockup, but it looks pretty much like I intended:

Image
Obviously influenced by the US Strategic Air Command (I even stole the gauntlet).

I'm pretty sure the motto is grammatical (since you use ad with the Accusative), which is meant to be roughly "to the death", or "until death" cf. hasta la muerte!
